Stila "In the Light" Palette Review

Sooooo this was the palette that I had wanted to get when I went to Sephora with my husband.  They were sold out when we were there but when I went back to get the travel size of my setting spray, they had it in stock and I had the 10% off coupon that I wanted to use.  I have a tutorial up on my channel of a look where I use this palette.  All in all, it's a really great palette that has great neutral shadows that would look great on anyone.  Check out swatches and the Stila palettes at Sephora or on www.stilacosmetics.com

Travel Series Intro

So basically I got this idea from the fact that it's summer vacation so I know a lot of people are taking trips, and family vacations.  Take it from someone who's been there, I'm MORE than guilty of over packing stuff like makeup, clothes, etc.  My husband and I are taking a trip for our anniversary to Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion this coming weekend and I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to do a mini-series on it.  This post is just the intro, but I thought I would do a video on an all over makeup look that doesn't make you feel like you're suffocating and melting in the sun, how to pack makeup for a theme park trip (ie: a what's in my makeup bag for this trip),  AAAAAANNNNDDD since I have a serious problem and I will stop at nothing to make myself look like an idiot in public...I'll probably be filming a vlog on this trip as well.  So I'm hoping to get some of these videos up asap.  This week is a busy week being that my work schedule got moved around in order for me to take the trip, but as always I will figure it out <3

Favorite Hair Care Products

So as I've explained before, I've been a professional hair dresser for 2 years now.  A big part of my job is trying out a TON of different products.  One of my favorite brands is It's a 10, and of course Paul Mitchell.  It's a 10 is always coming out with different products to expand their line and I've never been disappointed with anything they've come out with.  The link below is the video on this I did for my YouTube channel, but here's a more in depth description of the products I use on my hair and what they do/how they work.

-This stuff is AWESOME!  I love using it at work after doing a color or a highlight.  It detangles and softens the hair so much.  If you've ever highlighted or bleached your hair, you know how your hair can basically feel like straw afterwords.  It makes it feel smooth and glides though hands like BUTTAAHHHH!

Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Instant Recovery Mask
-Moisturizing treatment with Awapuhi Ginger extract to instantly mend and soften dry hair and rich Keratin proteins to fortify each hair strand and restore hair.
-Keratin is a protein that's naturally found in the hair that gets stripped out from Flat Ironing, Blow drying, harsh shampoos, Coloring, bleaching, etc.  So by using a shampoo or a conditioner with Keratin proteins in it, it helps to make the hair a little healthier and stronger.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
Where to start with this?! In addition to cutting down drying time by almost 50%, it adds amazing shine to the hair and also reduces frizz and helps to smooth down fly aways.  In addition to that, it smells like green apple and watermelon got together and had a love child.  It's AMAZING!  If you haven't tried this yet, you need to!

CHI Iron Guard 44
I used to use this all the time like crazy before I found the It's a 10 products.  Now I just use this if I decide to curl my hair with a curling iron for some extra heat protection.

Paul Mitchell Reworks
This gives a really pliable style to the hair and is really great for piecing out texture and smoothing down fly aways.  What's really great about this product is that you can reactivate it with water.  So if you use it in the morning and need to redo your hair later for something, just a damp comb can reactivate the product so you don't have to pile product on top of product.

Urban Decay Naked vs Naked 2 palettes

So this isn't really new or anything, but I know a lot of people have questions about the difference between Urban Decay's best selling palettes, the Naked, and the Naked2.  Both are amazing, highly pigmented neutral palettes that provide a little something for everyone.  I absolutely LOVEEE the Naked palette! I've used it for over a year now and I've never had a problem coming up with different looks to do with it.  When the Naked2 came out, I bought it knowing that I'd be able to figure out something to do with it.  The Naked palette provides some warmer, golder tones that go well with fairer or yellower skin tones.  Whereas the Naked2 goes better with pink tones to the skin.  Either way, both are gorgeous and have some of the best neutral colors you could ask for!  I have a video on some of my further thoughts on it that I posted not too long ago.  Below are some swatches of both the Naked and Naked2.  Enjoy <3
